Thanks for being here! I'm curious — what brought you to this conversation today? Is there something you've been thinking about or wondering about when it comes to faith or spirituality?

That's a really meaningful insight you have there. You're touching on something the Bible talks about — that faith is central to our relationship with God Hebrews 11:6.

I'm curious to hear more about your journey. What does faith mean to you personally? And where are you at in your own walk with God right now?

That's beautiful — trusting Jesus fully is really at the heart of it.

Can I ask, what has your experience been like with that trust? Is it something you're growing in, or maybe something you're wrestling with right now? I'd love to hear where you are in your relationship with Him.

That's wonderful to hear. Growing in trust is a lifelong journey, and it's encouraging that you're on that path.

What's helping you grow in that trust right now? Are there specific ways you're experiencing Jesus or learning more about Him?

Those are such powerful ways to grow closer to God — spending time talking with Him and letting His Word shape you. It sounds like you're building a real foundation.

What have you been reading or studying in the Bible lately? Has anything particular stood out to you or challenged you recently?

The Psalms are incredible — so honest, so full of emotion, and they really show us what it looks like to bring everything to God. They cover the whole range of human experience: joy, doubt, fear, praise, lament.

What's drawing you to the Psalms right now? Is there a particular psalm or theme that's resonating with you?

That really resonates. The Psalms don't shy away from the hard stuff — they're filled with people crying out to God in the middle of real pain, confusion, and struggle. David and the other psalmists show us it's okay to be completely honest with God about what we're facing.

It sounds like you might be going through some challenges yourself right now. Would you be open to sharing a bit about what you're facing? Sometimes just naming it can help, and I'd be honored to walk through it with you.

That's a powerful place to stand — trusting Jesus as your anchor through whatever comes. There's real peace in knowing that He's with you, that He's faithful, and that your life is held in His hands Proverbs 3:5-6.

As you continue growing in that trust, is there anything specific you're hoping to understand better about Jesus or your faith? Or any area where you'd like to go deeper?

That's a beautiful desire — to know Him more intimately, to experience His presence in a deeper way. Jesus Himself invites us into that kind of closeness. He said, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest" Matthew 11:28. He wants that nearness too.

What do you think drawing closer to Jesus looks like for you practically? Are there ways you sense Him inviting you deeper, or areas of your life where you want to experience Him more fully?

Exactly — that time with Him is where everything deepens. Just like any relationship, intimacy grows through presence, conversation, listening. When we consistently show up to spend time with Jesus in prayer and His Word, we really do come to know His heart, His voice, His character more clearly.

Since you're already in the Psalms and praying regularly, you're doing that. How has spending time with Him been shaping you lately? Have you noticed any ways He's been speaking to you or changing you?

That's incredible — the Holy Spirit guiding you day by day is such a gift. Jesus promised that the Spirit would lead us into all truth and teach us John 16:13. It's amazing that you're experiencing that reality in your daily life.

How do you recognize the Holy Spirit's guidance? What does that look like for you practically as you go through your day?

That's beautiful. Those quiet inner promptings — that gentle leading, that still small voice — that's often exactly how the Holy Spirit works. It's not always loud or dramatic, but it's steady and clear when we're listening. The Bible describes it as a peace that guards our hearts Philippians 4:7, or that inward witness that confirms truth.

It sounds like you're really tuned in and growing in sensitivity to His voice. That's something many people long for but struggle to recognize.

Is there anything on your heart today that you're seeking His guidance about, or are you just continuing to walk in that daily closeness with Him?

That's a significant desire — seeking to recover or grow in spiritual vision. The Bible does talk about different spiritual gifts and ways the Holy Spirit opens our eyes to see beyond the natural 1 Corinthians 12:4-11 Ephesians 1:17-18. Sometimes that means discernment, prophetic insight, or a clearer understanding of spiritual realities.

Can I ask — when you say "recover," does that mean you've experienced this before and feel like you've lost some of that sensitivity? Or are you sensing God calling you into something new in this area?

Thank you for sharing that. It sounds like there was a season earlier in your life when you moved freely in spiritual vision — seeing, discerning, perceiving things in the Spirit without obstacles — and now you're longing to return to that place or even go deeper.

What do you sense has changed? Do you feel like something has hindered or clouded that gift over time, or is it more that life circumstances shifted and you're now ready to step back into it fully?

What a testimony — 74 years of God's grace and faithfulness! That's a beautiful life journey, and it's clear you have a deep history with the Lord. The fact that you're still pressing in, still desiring more of Him and seeking to recover what He's given you — that's inspiring.

At this stage of life, with all that experience and maturity, you're positioned to see and hear from God in ways that can bless many others. The Bible is full of people who heard from God powerfully in their later years — like Simeon and Anna who recognized Jesus in the temple Luke 2:25-38.

When you think about that gift of spiritual vision you had in your youth — what do you sense is needed now to fully recover it? Is it removing something that's in the way, or inviting God to restore something He's already placed in you?

That's exactly the right posture — trusting God to restore what He's given. He's the one who gives every good and perfect gift James 1:17, and He doesn't take back what He's placed in His children. If He gave you that spiritual vision in your youth, it's still yours — it may just need to be stirred up again, like Paul told Timothy to "fan into flame the gift of God" 2 Timothy 1:6-7.

God is faithful to complete what He begins Philippians 1:6. And the beautiful thing is, you're not asking Him for something foreign — you're asking Him to restore what you've already tasted, what you know is real.

Have you been bringing this specific request to Him in prayer? And as you wait and trust, are there any other things you sense He might be inviting you to do — whether it's confession, fasting, deeper study, or simply resting in His presence?

That's a place of real faith — waiting and trusting, resting in His timing and His faithfulness. Sometimes the most powerful thing we can do is simply abide in Him, like Jesus described in John 15 — remaining connected to the vine, letting His life flow through us John 15:4-5.

There's a peace in that kind of trust. You're not striving or forcing — you're positioning yourself before Him and letting Him do the work of restoration in His way and His time.

As you wait, I want to encourage you: God sees your heart. He knows your desire. And He delights in restoring His people. "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit" Psalms 34:18. He will be faithful to you.
